Facility Maintenance Technician jobs in Colchester, VT
The Facility Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required. Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools. In addition, Facility Maintenance Technician assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and work flow. Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervior or manager. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician works under moderate supervision. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Working as a Facility Maintenance Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification. Facility and Grounds Technician (Full or Part-Time)
Location: South Burlington, VT, 05403
The Facility and Grounds Technician will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our automotive shop area, as well as the exterior area of our dealership grounds. This includes sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and organizing materials to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. The Technician will also be responsible for managing shop trash and recycling, ensuring that all shop waste is properly disposed of. Exterior ground maintenance includes keeping the lot clean of trash and debris, light landscaping, as well ensuring sidewalks and entrances are clear of snow and ice. This position also assists in projects throughout our dealerships.
The ideal candidate will have experience in facility maintenance and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. They should be able to prioritize tasks effectively. The Technician should also have strong communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with other members of the team. Forklift experience is preferred, however, we are willing to train the right candidate.
