Facilities Technician / Maintenance Technician Needed in Camarillo, CA

Monday - Friday 1st shift
Responsibility
Reporting to the Department Head, Facilities and Engineering, the individual will be a key member of the Facilities staff and will work assisting in the daily operational functions, maintenance, and repair of the facility and R&D equipment. The duties include:
Ensure timely repair, maintenance, service, and scheduling for facility fixtures, machinery, and equipment assigned, including:
· Elevator
· Facility shop machinery and equipment
· Water treatment and DI water system
· Air compressors, driers, and vacuum pumps
· Emergency generator
· Gas, cryogenic delivery and supply
· Nitrogen generator systems
· Forklift
· Various laboratory and R&D equipment (e.g., spray coating, sintering furnaces, humidity chambers, etc.).
· Maintain gas inventory and replenish gas manifolds throughout the facility.
· Perform basic facility repairs and maintenance that includes building paint and structure; facility, laboratory, and office doors; and plumbing and water supply.
· Function as point of contact for contracted workers while on-site.
· Keep management informed of any operational deviations.
Provide timely support of R&D personnel, including:
· Completion of assigned work orders according to assigned priorities.
· Equipment installation and removal.
· Perform additional facilities and maintenance duties and tasks as needed.
Requirements
The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, some trade technical school preferred, and a minimum of five (5) years, with ten (10) years preferred, in industrial facilities operations and knowledge of current applicable regulations. Ability to comprehend and adhere to all policies and procedures applicable to a Technician position is required. Required experience includes machine shop, fabrication, lathe, milling, grinding equipment, metal welding, band saws, drill press, hand tools, and woodworking equipment, and the ability to identify facilities issues and perform moderate repairs. Experience with computerized control systems is a plus. Forklift certification or prior experience with forklift operations is preferred. Capability to safely operate aerial lifts and work at elevated heights is desired.
The position requires interactions with Company staff members in a positive and courteous manner, hands-on work, a can-do attitude, work in a team environment, strong written and verbal communication skills, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Physical requirements include spending extended time walking, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
