Facilities Planner plans building or refurbishment projects focused on effectively utilizing spaces and resources to support the organization's physical facility and space needs. Conducts evaluations of current facilities to assess short-term and long-term space needs and produce feasibility studies. Being a Facilities Planner prepares and reviews designs, layout plans, specifications, and standards that comply with building regulations, industry best practices, and organizational requirements. Estimates costs for labor, materials, and services. Additionally, Facilities Planner generates, monitors, and updates project plans and timelines with task details, deliverables, and status updates. Coordinates construction and installation processes and expedites delivery of materials required by projects. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Facilities Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervisory Responsibility- Supervise Custodians on a daily basis with regard to quantity and quality of work. Inspect all assigned areas frequently to insure that individual and building inspections meet service level quality standards, utilizing computer-aided inspection systems and other department-provided tools, etc. Supervise other related work as required.
- Must have experience and be able to train employees on the proper use of floor care
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and wax floors.
- Machine shampoo carpeting.
- Clean walls, vents, screens, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, window blinds, brass, and other interior fixtures
- Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors.
- Sweep entryways, empty exterior cigarette urns, and empty trashcans immediately outside building entrances.
- Clean restrooms, plunger sinks, and toilets, and replenish supplies.
- Change interior light bulbs that can be reached from the sixth step of a ladder or lower.
- Complete work requests to notify management of needed repair work.
- Remove snow and ice and apply salt and/or ice-melting products to assigned areas when needed.
- Organize and supply custodial closets as needed.
- Move, remove, and/or set up furniture, furnishings, supplies, equipment, and any other items, inside specified rooms for special functions as directed.
- Additional job-related duties as required by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Able to read, write and comprehend at a level appropriate to the duties of the position

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to:- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push, pull, stand, bend, stoop, and kneel
- Walk up to 8 hours per day
- Climb ladders, scaffolds up to 6’ high, and stairs
- Able to use basic hand tools
