Facilities Manager manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Manager monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Manager trains supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Facilities Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Greet guests upon interaction with a warm and friendly greeting.
    • Oversee engineering department and schedule employees accordingly
    • Train new hires and ensure they are following all guidelines and procedures
    • Complete minor work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, and repair of pipe lines, toilets, sinks kitchen and laundry equipment, etc.
    • Ensure that assigned equipment is operational
    • Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters and paint and finish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, if needed
    • Maintain the front entrance area, parking lot and/or garage, and street entrance in a clean and presentable manner and maintain the safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the facility, grounds, pool and exercise/sport facilities (including property signs and lighting)
    • Make a record of all completed and incomplete jobs
    • Follow prescribed safety procedures for personnel and equipment by the company and OSHA
    • Work closely with the Housekeeping Department to see whether or not there are any Engineering/Maintenance requests to fill and ensure these are carried out in a timely manner
    • Test pool water daily (3 times per day) and record findings in accordance to local regulations. Treat water as needed.
    • Any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time

    Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
