Facilities Manager manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Manager monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Manager trains supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Facilities Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Site Manager at Verde is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of our new account in San Diego, CA. This position plays a crucial part in maintaining the highest standards of service delivery, ensuring client satisfaction, and upholding Verde's commitment to cleaner, greener workplaces. The Site Manager will be a key player in driving sustainability initiatives, managing a diverse team, and fostering a positive working relationship with the client.

    • Operational Excellence:

      • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of eco-friendly processes, including green cleaning, recycling, composting, LEED support, and critical space cleaning.
      • Collaborate with the client to understand specific needs and tailor services accordingly.
      • Implement and enforce Verde's policies and procedures for efficient and sustainable service delivery.
    • Client Relationship Management:

      • Serve as the primary point of contact for our newest Account, fostering a strong client relationship.
      • Conduct regular meetings with the client to assess satisfaction, address concerns, and identify areas for improvement.
    • Team Leadership:

      • Manage and lead a diverse team of facilities service professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
      • Ensure team members adhere to safety protocols, sustainability practices, and uphold Verde's core values.
    • Sustainability Initiatives:

      • Spearhead sustainability initiatives within our newest Account, aligning with Verde's commitment to a healthier planet.
      • Implement and promote eco-friendly practices to achieve improved building air quality and environmental impact.
    • Reporting and Communication:

      • Generate regular reports on operational performance, client satisfaction, and sustainability metrics.
      • Collaborate with the Growth Team, Chief Revenue Officer, and other stakeholders to communicate successes and challenges.
    • Compliance and Standards:

      • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
      • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, implementing improvements as necessary.

    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
    • Familiarity with sustainability practices, green cleaning, and LEED is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work remotely and be available during west coast hours (PST, MDT, and/or MST).

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities management or related field.
