Facilities Manager manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Manager monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Manager trains supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and management of our facilities, inventory and fleet.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure the proper functioning of all facilities and equipment
- Develop a fleet maintenance program
- Develop an inventory management program
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance services
- Manage inventory - including purchasing and supplying workers with items via Purchase Orders
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in facilities management
Requirements:
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and HVAC as well as general construction
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
