Facilities Manager manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Manager monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Manager trains supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Purpose of the Position
The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is responsible for timely and effective regular and unexpected repairs, maintenance, and maintenance/service planning for all HSCO buildings, mechanical systems, vehicles, and equipment. This position will ensure that HSCO facilities and vehicles are operating with high efficiency and in a manner that supports the comfort, safety, and quality of life of shelter animals, personnel, volunteers, and visitors.
This role will act as a direct supervisor for 2-2.5 FTE employees, including the Shelter Custodian and Aquamation Coordinator.
