Facilities Manager manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Manager monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Menzner Hardwoods Co. is seeking a full-time Facilities Manager for our Marathon and Wausau, Wisconsin locations to oversee the company’s grounds, buildings and equipment. This position will report to the Director of Operations.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will have the skills and knowledge to perform many maintenance, safety and management tasks that promote a clean and safe working environment for the building’s employees.
Qualifications and Competencies:
· Ability to monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces.
· Will perform routine maintenance on all facilities and make repairs as needed
· Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
· Ensure proper security measures for the workplace including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
· Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions including snow and ice removal
· Ability to use equipment for lawn care
· Collaborate with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
· Ability to identify and resolve areas needing improvement
All benefits are available on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment, along with the 401(k)-retirement plan, which has a company match. Vacation accrual starts on your first day and can be used after 30 days of employment. Menzner Hardwoods also offers an incentive time off policy which you are eligible for during your first year of employment. New hires are eligible for a $2,500 Sign on Bonus.
