Extrusion Operator sets up and operates an extrusion machine in accordance with established procedures, guidelines, and customer requirements. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Extrusion Operator adjusts and cleans machines. Documents work performed as required. Additionally, Extrusion Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. The Extrusion Operator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Waukesha facility
Badger Wire Inc. is an ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturer of extruded products including primary cable, battery cable, booster cable and trailer cable. We are currently in search of one Extrusion Operator at our Waukesha facility. The right candidate will, be accurate, responsible, motivated and dependable. The position requires moving heavy reels and skids using equipment provided. No experience necessary, training is provided. Pay is between $11.00 and $14.00 per hour depending on experience. Health insurance, life insurance, yearly bonus and 401k are offered.
Examine wire products throughout the manufacturing process against quality requirements
Change tooling on machines in accordance with work instructions
Run machines and monitor controls in accordance with work instructions
Load finished wire on reels at required lengths
Maintain and make repairs to machines as needed
Additional jobs as required (re-spool, make reels, etc.)
