Extrusion Operator jobs in Southaven, MS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but is not limited to the following:

Performs according to established safety, operating procedures and standards.

• Punctures positions, makes start-ups and shut-downs.
• Monitors and controls extrusion process.
• Moves viscose drums as needed.
• May be required to perform duties of dryer operator, as needed.
• Adhere to all local and corporate safety policies. Promote department and overall plant safety objectives.
• Adhere to the ISO9001 standards to continually improve products and service to consistently meet customer requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Candidate must be able to stand for long periods at a time. Lifting required of at least 50 lbs. Must be able to endure extremely hot temperatures.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Good attendance record, adherence to company policies and procedures, and satisfactory job performance are required to retain position and/or employment. Candidate must be able to work overtime either before or after normal starting times and on weekends.
