Extrusion Operator sets up and operates an extrusion machine in accordance with established procedures, guidelines, and customer requirements. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Extrusion Operator adjusts and cleans machines. Documents work performed as required. Additionally, Extrusion Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. The Extrusion Operator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     This role will focus on:
    Role Summary
    As an Manufacturing Operator within our brand-new WM, America Manufacturing Inc. site, you will be instrumental in the success of our products being at or above our customers' requirements and standards. Accordingly, you will be responsible for product movement, monitoring and identifying quality issues to achieve required quality standards. You will be involved in proposing continuous improvement initiatives and opportunities for the business to excel, and for you to feel proud of your daily accomplishments.

    The key areas of focus include:
    Assisting with 5S and Safety tasks associated with good manufacturing practices.
    Manufacturing of Extruded tubing
    Manufacture of Liquid Silicone Rubber Molded (LSR) parts.
    Collecting and recording relevant process data
    Assisting engineering with validation and experimental activities
    Identifying opportunities for improvement throughout the manufacturing process and working with team members to recommend and implement solutions.

    Strong Mechanical Background
    Understanding of Machinery and their functions
    Be organised, methodical, resilient and approachable with strong communication skills.
    Be delivery focused with strong attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure.
    Can effectively and appropriately challenge others.
    Can use personal initiative to work collaboratively as one team with a “can do” approach.
    Experience in extrusion/Moulding techniques desired but not necessary.
    Troubleshoots, repairs and conducts maintenance on equipment.
    Awareness of cGMP requirements.
    Experience of working in a cleanroom environment desired.
