Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Extrusion Operator adjusts and cleans machines. Documents work performed as required. Additionally, Extrusion Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. The Extrusion Operator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. We are currently seeking an experienced Extrusion Operator to join the team, that is located in Madison, WI, 53711. As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible forfor set-up and operation of extrusion and auxiliary production equipment to produce materials to specification under the guidance of the Production Shift Leader. Additional responsibilities include production efficiency, following manufacturing and safety standards and working to continuously improve the quality and productivity of extrusion operations.

**Minimum Qualifications
**One (1) year manufacturing or related experience, mechanical aptitude; ability to read, write and speak English to meet training, safety and quality requirements. Must be able to pass forklift certification program upon hire.
Desired Skills
Prior machine operation experience; forklift experience; training in Statistical Process Control and Quality Systems; basic computer knowledge and understanding of menu-driven computer applications.
