Overview

JOB SUMMARY:

The Expeditor is responsible for day to day warehouse, grounds and equipment maintenance. Also, ensures projects proceed smoothly by monitoring the timely delivery of parts and materials.

This is an Office Warehouse based position. Travel to the North Slope is not permitted. 

LOCATION: Anchorage, AK

SCHEDULE: 5/40

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Performs general maintenance and cleanup of work site
• Cleans and repairs equipment
• Dismantles and repairs equipment and machinery, using hand and power tools
• Moves materials to and from trucks, using winches and motorized lifts, or by hand
• Supplies equipment as requested
• Physically loads and unloads supplies
• Takes delivery of goods and materials and ensures that delivered goods match order specifications; handles any materials delivery inconsistencies or delays
• Performs general yard and maintenance of ground and buildings
• Drives Fairweather vehicles when needed

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must possess a valid, clean Driver’s License
• One year previous experience working in a construction environment
• Must pass a Background Check and Drug Screening
• Experience working with hand and power tools preferred
• Forklift certification (or the ability to attain within one month from date of hire) required
• Must be safety conscious at all times
• Must have working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures and be proficient in working with hand and power tools
• Must be self-directed and motivated, as incumbent will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and objectives
