JOB SUMMARY

• Evaluates cardiac patients, plans and implements a cardiac rehabilitation program. Demonstrates competencies in the care and service to our customers.
• Administers appropriate treatments to patients; knowledge and skills in EKG interpretation, blood pressure, heart rate, pulse oximetry, fitness equipment.
• Fosters communication with other EPs, nurses, doctors, patients and family, and other hospital personnel to establish department rapport; attends and provides quality input to team meetings and applicable hospital meetings.
• Maintains timely and accurate medical records; records legibly in patient charts; completes reports in a timely and thorough manner.
• Attends department and hospital inservices; assists in department CQI processes; attends annual conferences annually if applicable.

• Required: Completion of BS degree in Exercise Physiology

• Required: 12 week Internship
• Licensure/Certifications
• Required: American Heart Association CPR
• Preferred: ACLS certification or complete within 12 months of employment
