Exercise Control Planner (Journeyman)

Gulfport, MS

The Exercise Control Planner (Journeyman) shall provide subject matter expertise in support of the Air National Guard Southern Strike Tactical Exercises.

Responsibilities

• Provide exercise subject matter expertise to support the planning and execution of exercises to facilitate the requisite integration with the global DoD exercise community.
• Assist with assessment, design, development, implementation, management, and testing of current and prospective exercise programs and subordinate processes, including joint and interagency exercises.
• Acts as advisor to the program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
• Assists PM with accurate and timely completion of contract deliverables/CDRLs as required for status and monthly reporting.
• Complete annual company and customer training, as required.
• Complete timesheets daily in an online system according to company policies and procedures.
• Travel up to 30%
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 7 years of experience with operational-strategic operations.
• A Secret clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout the lifecycle of the contract is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Must have the ability to attend all customer in-person meetings and conferences as requested.
• Must have the ability to communicate with others effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-stress, performance-based environment.
• Ability to establish priorities and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to self-start and work independently or as a team.
• Possess strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Maintain a high level of integrity and accountability.

Ability to travel up to 30% as required.
