Being an Exercise Specialist educates patient and family members on proper techniques for transitioning from a hospital-based fitness program to a safe and effective home exercise program. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in exercise science. Additionally, Exercise Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Exercise Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Physical Therapy Technician is responsible for completing the tech support duties within their assigned clinic. He/she ensures that all duties are performed accurately and timely and provides assistance with patient care under the direction of a physical therapist while acting as a tech team player for optimum clinic flow and excellent patient care. This position does NOT provide direct patient care. Direct patient care falls only within the scope of a licensed physical therapist.
