SUMMARY OF POSITION :

The Exercise Physiologist is responsible for overseeing the various cardiovascular stress tests including exercise stress tests, stress echocardiograms, and nuclear stress tests, as well as the application of cardiac rhythm devices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

Bachelor’s Degree required

Basic Life Support (BLS) required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

Master's Degree preferred

1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting

JOB DUTIES:

Calling patients with pretest instructions

Calling patients with stress test results

Performing various stress tests Interpretation of 12 lead EKGs Obtaining resting and exercise vitals

Understanding the contraindications for each stress test

Completing post stress tests reports

Application and education on various heart monitors
