Additionally, Executive Steward may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Executive Steward supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Essential Functions:
¨ Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of stewards to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
¨ Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and utensils to ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained at all times.
¨ Sanitation and Hygiene: Ensure that all kitchen and dining areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with health and safety regulations.
¨ Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure that kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, sinks, and garbage disposals, are properly maintained and in good working order.
¨ Waste Management: Implement effective waste management practices to minimize food wastage and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
¨ Safety Compliance: Enforce safety procedures and protocols to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries in the workplace.
¨ Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to stewards on proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety procedures.
¨ Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with kitchen staff, management, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination of operations.
¨ Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the stewarding department budget, including labor costs, supplies, and equipment expenses.
¨ Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and dining areas to ensure that cleanliness and hygiene standards are met and maintained.
¨ Banquet Support: Support Baquet manager, captain, chef and team with plated events, inventory logistics, and general cleanliness and organization.
