Executive Response Specialist provides timely resolutions to customer complaints that have escalated to the highest level within the organization. Coordinates with product/service suppliers and/or contact center staff to research and determine validity of complaints and evaluate options to remedy these complaints. Being an Executive Response Specialist reviews the underlying facts of the complaint, determines an appropriate solution, and delivers the response to the customer. Requires a thorough knowledge of the products/services offered, well developed customer service skills, and clear understanding of the company's policy regarding complaints. Additionally, Executive Response Specialist exercises a large degree individual discretion and judgement. Tracks complaints and makes recommendations to management designed to reduce the number of complaints. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Executive Response Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • Job Description Summary: The Rapid Response Specialists oversees and coordinates freight traffic and off hour’s customer service to ensure that company and customer expectations are met. Critical Job Functions: Follow up with IC’s who are flagged as out of service. Management of all incoming after hours calls. After hours follow up calls to review solutions, alternatives, and final execution of any breakdowns. Provide assistance, and information to IC who has broken down notifying origin and destination terminals. Tracking of all breakdowns, loans, and follow ups. Setting up any/all vendors that are not in the Roadrunner systems. First point of contact for the Roadrunner fleet. RRS will advise/transfer the Roadrunner partner to the appropriate department. Answering all calls and emails in a timely fashion. Providing excellent customer service to our business partners. Provide safety information to IC’s in reference to accidents, breakdowns and delays. Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge. Champion Driver-Centric culture inside & outside the Rapid Response Center. Other duties as assigned. Receives very general guidance with respect to overall objectives; operates within division or department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Relies on written and verbal communication. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employers of organization. Communicates internally with all corporate office staff, and externally with terminals, linehaul contractors, law enforcement and customers. Technical Experience: Specific industry or position skills. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Preferred knowledge of AS/400. Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Access & Microsoft Excel Preferred knowledge of Intermodal / Rail Operations Proficiency / ability to work across various website platforms. Managerial Experience: Experience supervising the selection, training, development and appraisal of personnel and work assignments. Office Skills: Average typing, filing and ten key skills. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Prioritize tasks. Handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Prioritize, organize and delegate assignments.
