Response Motors of Mountain View, California has created a unique dealership for enthusiasts of Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, BMW, Mercedes, Lotus and more. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Lead Service Advisor who can join us as we go to the next level.

Reports to: General Manager

About the Job

As the Lead Service Advisor, the candidate must be proficient in their understanding of vehicles, and be able to organize the workflow of the service center. They must oversee the work product and performance of the technicians, ensure timely and appropriate estimates and billings, and work well with customers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, needs little guidance and is a team player with the ability to learn new tasks and grow with the company. The Lead Service Advisor will be a representative of the values and vision of Response Motors.

Job Duties

• Schedule service appointments with customers
• Meet and greet customers
• Perform a walk-a-round on vehicles upon arrival
• Advise customers on necessary/suggested services
• Utilizing proper shop flow and technician dispatch
• Preparing accurate estimate for the Sales Department on used car reconditioning & accessory add on.
• Estimate cost of mechanical, electric, or other repairs
• Enter itemized estimate on service order and explain estimate.
• Determine progress of repair/service orders and inform Sales manager/used car manager accordingly
• Ensure comprehensive re-delivery check of vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and that all items identified for service/repair have been carried out appropriately and on schedule.
• Address customer concern in a professional manner with a positive attitude
• Update your customer on the progress of their vehicle during servicing and contact the customer when technicians discover additional problems
• Get customer's approval to do additional work and explain the work performed and the charges being billed

Skills and Expectations

• Previous Internal Service Advisor experience is preferred
• Prior experience as an automotive technician is a plus
• Entry level/willing to learn is welcomed
• Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile
• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented

Qualifications and Certifications

• Minimum 5 years previous professional service advisor experience
• Professional technician experience preferred

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
