Follows all applicable guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety. Additionally, Executive Pastry Chef maintains a clean and orderly workstation and kitchen equipment. May require an associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent. Typically reports to an executive chef. The Executive Pastry Chef supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Executive Pastry Chef typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Looking for hard working, talented person to keep our strong desserts sales on track.
We make everything from scratch and do all in house baking, chocolate work, ice creams and breads.
Applicant should have a knowledge of custards, cakes, dessert sauces and a artist eye for plating, A fun kitchen that is more than opening #10 cans and pulling items from a freezer.
Qualifications should include a minimum of 3 years in kitchens, solid knife skills, and experience with scratch cooking.
Reliable transportation is a must. A safe kitchen to work in. 5 shifts a week: wed to saturday dinner service and Sunday brunch. Monday Tuesdays off.
