    Position Overview:
    We are seeking an experienced Dessert Pastry Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a commercial kitchen, with a demonstrated passion for baking and decorating pastries. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a variety of desserts that showcase both creativity and flavor while upholding our bakery's standards of excellence.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and bake a variety of desserts, including cakes, pastries, cookies, and more, according to recipes and quality standards.
    • Decorate pastries using various techniques, such as icing, piping, and garnishing, to create visually stunning presentations.
    • Ensure that all desserts are consistently of high quality, fresh, and appealing to customers.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
    • Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes, flavors, and seasonal offerings.
    • Receive feedback from management and colleagues to continuously improve skills and techniques.
    • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a pastry-focused role.
    • Strong passion for baking and decorating pastries, with a keen eye for detail.
    • Friendly, energetic personality with excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with team members.

    Compensation:
    The starting wage for this position is $17.55 per hour, with the opportunity for negotiation based on previous experience and portfolio.
