Executive Pastry Chef - Casino oversees the operations of the Pastry function of the kitchen. Develops and prepares dessert menus and recipes for baked goods. Being an Executive Pastry Chef - Casino may require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Executive Pastry Chef - Casino manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Executive Pastry Chef - Casino typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Looking for hard working, talented person to keep our strong desserts sales on track.
We make everything from scratch and do all in house baking, chocolate work, ice creams and breads.
Applicant should have a knowledge of custards, cakes, dessert sauces and a artist eye for plating, A fun kitchen that is more than opening #10 cans and pulling items from a freezer.
Qualifications should include a minimum of 3 years in kitchens, solid knife skills, and experience with scratch cooking.
Reliable transportation is a must. A safe kitchen to work in. 5 shifts a week: wed to saturday dinner service and Sunday brunch. Monday Tuesdays off.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
