Commis Restaurant in Oakland is looking to hire a Pastry Chef.

We are looking for highly motivated and committed individuals to be a part of our kitchen team. With Two Michelin stars, Commis is an outstanding restaurant to work in. The candidate we are looking for has the ability, dedication, and humility to do any job that is needed in service of the best possible guest experience and the team.  Organization skills is a must in creating and executing dessert courses and mignardises for the nightly tasting menu.  The following duties includes:

• Communicating with potential new pastry team members when hiring is needed, observing stages, and making hiring decisions.
• Managing orders and deliveries relating to the execution of the menu.
• Effectively communicating with all aspects of the management team and members of the Back of House AND Front of House staff in order to facilitate the best experience for our staff and for our guests.
• Maintain professionalism with a respectful demeanor always.
