Executive Pastry Chef - Casino oversees the operations of the Pastry function of the kitchen. Develops and prepares dessert menus and recipes for baked goods. Being an Executive Pastry Chef - Casino may require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Executive Pastry Chef - Casino manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Executive Pastry Chef - Casino typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. We make everything from scratch and do all in house baking, chocolate work, ice creams and breads.
Applicant should have a knowledge of custards, cakes, dessert sauces and a artist eye for plating, A fun kitchen that is more than opening #10 cans and pulling items from a freezer.
Qualifications should include a minimum of 3 years in kitchens, solid knife skills, and experience with scratch cooking.
Reliable transportation is a must. A safe kitchen to work in. 5 shifts a week: wed to saturday dinner service and Sunday brunch. Monday Tuesdays off.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
