Executive Compensation Manager is responsible for the analysis and administration of executive compensation programs, annual and long-term incentive programs, and deferred compensation plans. Provide consultation on executive compensation matters to senior executives and human resources. Being an Executive Compensation Manager oversees the preparation of compensation data for proxy disclosure and compensation committee meetings. Assists executive directly or engages/manages outside consultants with tax matters related to compensation. Additionally, Executive Compensation Manager directs the salary survey process and evaluates market data for executive positions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. May require Certified Compensation Professional. The Executive Compensation Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Overview:

    The Compensation Manager will support managers and HR Business Partners ensuring that we deliver competitive rewards. Your analytical skills along with your skills managing pay decisions, will educate managers and HR Business Partners in making responsible and timely pay decisions. As a member of a global compensation function, you will play a significant role in managing annual compensation planning processes, delivering services to our employees.

    Responsibilities:
    • Serves as the primary point of contact for HR Business Partners in the North American organization.
    • Engages with HR Business Partners and business leaders to diagnose compensation issues and guide business leaders and managers on application of our compensation programs, policies, and guidelines in support of organization goals.
    • Evaluates job content and formulates recommendations to business on grade, title, pay, and regulatory pay status based on analyses of internal equity and market competitiveness.
    • Delivers compensation planning support to deliver merit and variable pay to people leaders and employees.
    • Participates in Salary Surveys and serves and market prices new roles to the organization.
    • Recommends adjustments to salary structures and variable pay targets base on market intelligence,
    • Creates and executes communication plans and strategies to support all Compensation programs and initiatives.
    • Provides education and training to Business Unit Management and Human Resources staff regarding compensation issues and practices.
    • Performs internal data audits for a variety of projects and initiatives.
    • Serves as a key team member on a variety of compensation projects (Vertiv Career Framework, Recognition, etc.)
    • Performs internal data audits for a variety of projects and initiatives.
    • Develops guidelines and visual exhibits for a variety of business needs.
    • May determine variable pay accruals and works with finance to ensure that all HR transactions are appropriately reflected and appropriately planned.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resource management is required.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing compensation programs.
    • Excellent system skills (Oracle preferred), understanding compensation architecture.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact, collaborate and influence others effectively within HR, at the executive level, and cross-functionally.
    • Experience developing and delivering compensation training for human resources and business leaders in support of organization goals.
    • Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret large amounts of information/data from multiple sources.
    • Strong project management/organizational skills.
    • Advanced Excel skills.
