Executive Compensation Manager is responsible for the analysis and administration of executive compensation programs, annual and long-term incentive programs, and deferred compensation plans. GENERAL SUMMARY:
Summary:
Provides oversight for employee accident and workers compensation claims, including investigations, accident reporting procedures, records management, and cost management with the objective of reducing workplace injuries/illnesses. Responsible for providing data to various audiences to promote employee safety at Bayhealth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Manages the organizational workers’ compensation program, including: Reviewing claims from employees Managing workplace investigations and providing root cause analyses Coordinating plans of action with third party administrator Manage reporting, notification, and follow-up process for workplace injuries, blood and body fluid exposures, and work-related illnesses Analyze safety first reports and other reporting documents related to the causes of injuries and accidents Coordinate return-to-work and light duty programs with departments throughout the hospital, employee’s physicians, and Occupational Health.
2. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws/codes which govern environmental health and safety. Complies with Delaware State Workers’ Compensation Act related to reporting, compensability decisions, and compensation. Develops and updates policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines. Ensures all workers’ compensation payments are calculated correctly. Audits payroll for injured workers and updates any discrepancies in pay.
3. Submit a 100% accurate annual OSHA report by keeping the OSHA log accurate throughout the year. Ensure that the OSHA summary is approved and posted timely according to Federal Regulations.
4. Focuses on initiatives to continually reduce workers’ compensation annual expenditures and number of lost days, as measured by fiscal year.
5. Serves as a liaison between departments and units, Workers’ Compensation TPA, and Risk Management in order to promote a safe working environment.
6. Attends organizational safety committee meetings, presents accident injury analysis at both safety committee meetings and organizational meetings as requested. May leads committees and/or projects focused on improving employee safety initiatives.
7. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND CREDENTIAL:
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 5 years of experience with managing disability/worker’s compensation claims in an industrial environment. Preferred: Previous experience managing workers’ compensation, to include reporting, claims management, and case management
