Executive Chef jobs in Virginia

Executive Chef directs and oversees kitchen operations, including menu development, purchasing, inventory, cost control and sanitation. Creates and updates menus that will appeal to customers, utilize seasonal ingredients, and maximize profits. Being an Executive Chef develops and tests new recipes. Solicits and studies customer feedback to maintain high standards of quality and satisfaction. Additionally, Executive Chef troubleshoots and resolves operational issues. Complies with all safety and food sanitation laws and regulations. Supervises, trains, and mentors staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in culinary arts or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Executive Chef typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Executive Chef typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     We are seeking an Executive Chef with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences to join our prestigious golf club located near the famous Hershey, PA. Nestled amidst breathtaking natural beauty, our club includes an 18-hole golf course with multiple club dining venues and amenities. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to help grow and develop the food and beverage operation while the club seeks to earn the highest-rated status within the country club industry.

    With multiple club renovation projects on the horizon, the Executive Chef will contribute to the design and grand re-opening of the a la carte restaurant and banquet facility. This position will provide the Chef with menu creation freedom that will ensure a consistent experience for our Members and guests.

    Compensation: Base Salary up to $90,000 with bonus potential, 401k, Full comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, relocation assistance, and more!

    Qualifications:

    • 3 - 5 years of culinary experience in a lead supervisory/management role
    • Preferred experience from the golf/private club industry
    • Demonstrated experience and capability in the areas of budget development, fiscal management, strategic planning, staff management
    • Strong leadership and team culture building
