Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Executive Chef - Casino typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for Brattleboro Retreat located in the Brattleboro, VT.  In this role you would provide food service for the patient line and retail area for this 110-bed hospital, serving anywhere between 75-150 people per meal period. 

     

    The Executive Chef oversees a small team of cooks and production workers, and reports to the Operations Manager.  In this role you would have one of the two shifts that fall within operating hours of 7am-7pm and need to have the flexibility to cover weekends and/or holidays as needed.

     

    Brattleboro Retreat provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services for individuals of all ages. Nationally recognized as a leader in the field of psychiatry, the Brattleboro Retreat offers a high-quality, individualized, comprehensive continuum of care.

     

    The successful candidate will:

    • oversee food production for the patient line, paying particular attention to any dietary restrictions as well as following all of the healthcare facility’s dietary requirements
    • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
    • ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standard compliance
    • foster and environment that encourages team development and motivation
    • ensure Sodexo culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
