Executive Chef - Casino is responsible for all of the operations of the kitchens. Creates and updates menus to maximize profits and minimize loss. Being an Executive Chef - Casino tests and develops recipes. Monitors customer satisfaction. Additionally, Executive Chef - Casino maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and food. Ensures that food and facilities meet all governmental regulations. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a top management. The Executive Chef - Casino manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the overall management of the kitchen and dining areas
- Coordinate and supervise the work of kitchen staff and other stewards
- Ensure proper food service management, including food safety, food production, and food preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
- Assist with inventory control and ordering supplies
- Train new employees on kitchen procedures and protocols
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
- Collaborate with the assistant manager to ensure smooth operations
- Operate POS systems for order processing and payment handling
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food service management
- Excellent team management and leadership skills
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in conducting interviews and evaluating potential candidates
