Executive Chef - Casino is responsible for all of the operations of the kitchens. Creates and updates menus to maximize profits and minimize loss. Ensures that food and facilities meet all governmental regulations. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a top management. The Executive Chef - Casino manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Manage the waitlist and seating arrangements
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservations
- Assist with guest inquiries and provide information about the restaurant
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary
Requirements:
- Previous experience in guest services or customer service is preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar restaurant POS systems is a plus
- Knowledge of hotel or food service industry is beneficial
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations with composure
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
