Executive Assistant provides multi-faceted administrative support and assistance to ensure effective use of an executive's time and productive interactions with staff and the public. Handles a wide range of administrative and support tasks and independently initiates and implements processes to manage projects, information, and people. Being an Executive Assistant manages the executive's schedule, meeting preparations, follow-up tasks, and complex travel arrangements. Conducts research and information gathering on behalf of the executive and prepares summaries and reports. Additionally, Executive Assistant develops positive and strategic relationships at all levels of the organization. Uses discretion, judgment, and knowledge of the organization to facilitate the executive's activities and maintain confidentiality. May be responsible for directing and deploying support staff or other resources. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to c-suite executive. The Executive Assistant work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.   • The Role 

    Government Executive seeks an administrative assistant to work with its leadership team.

    This position is responsible for providing executive support for the CEO and President/CRO, and will report directly to GovExec’s Chief of Staff. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating a warm and functional work environment for your colleagues. You will diligently tend to recurring responsibilities of the role while proactively searching for opportunities to improve office functions and culture.

    Primary duties include supporting executive leadership and working closely with the Chief of Staff on company priorities and initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide scheduling and administrative support for both the President and the CEO, and other senior executives as needed
    • Regularly perform administrative tasks such as expense reporting, calendar management, filing, photocopying, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed
    • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements
    • Prepare and proof executive staff presentations, documents, and correspondence
    • File expense reports and invoices for senior executives
    • Provide CRM support, including report creation and curation, data monitoring, and tracking.
    • Handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly
    • Liaise with all departments within the company on behalf of senior management/in support of above responsibilities
    • Plan on and off site events within budget

    The compensation range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 per year.
