The Vice President for Mission Integration (VPMI) provides leadership and strategic vision in the cultivation of a robust mission-oriented university culture, helping to develop and communicate a shared understanding of the University’s mission as informed by the sponsorship of the Sisters of Providence. The VPMI will be a practicing Catholic who possess advanced studies in theology, spirituality, religious studies, or other relevant field and has a demonstrated record of effective leadership in a mission-focused area in higher education, including campus ministry.
The Vice President for Mission Integration reports directly to the President and serves as a member of the President’s Council. The VPMI leads the Office of Mission Integration, comprised of two campus ministers, and is responsible for providing strategic guidance for mission integration across the university and stewardship of the University’s distinctive identity as a Catholic institution. Working collegially with internal and external stakeholders of the University, the VPMI will strengthen the mission identity, culture, and reputation of the University of Providence.
