Ethics & Compliance Training Specialist conducts needs analyses and designs and implements ethics, business conduct and compliance training and development programs. Interfaces with multiple functional groups outside the ethics and compliance office to ensure curriculum content and methods meet legal, regulatory and corporate objectives. Being an Ethics & Compliance Training Specialist participates in the development and implementation of classroom, web-based and other media training programs for all employees designed to promote knowledge of the corporate code of conduct policies, legal and regulatory requirements of the organization's business. Coordinates with and ensures a uniform level of ethics and compliance training among operating units of the corporation. Additionally, Ethics & Compliance Training Specialist coordinates both internal and external resources required by the program. Provides technical expertise, evaluates content and makes recommendation on incorporating all facets of corporate training programs into the business operation. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be an Ethics & Compliance Training Specialist typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Your Opportunity

    As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will work with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of projects, contribute to providing sound and reasonable planning advice, monitoring environmental requirements for construction, and conducting environmental assessments for projects as required.

    Your Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in providing guidance for Environmental Impact Reports, Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements, Post-Record of Decision assessments and supporting technical studies.
    • Assist the Environmental Compliance Manager in strategic input for necessary regulatory permitting of various projects for construction.
    • Provide cross-review of designs that include track, roadway, structures, utilities and right-of-way for compliance with environmental requirements.
    • Provide support for the packaging of environmental re-examinations as needed.
    • Interact with and develop excellent relations with clients, regulators and stakeholders.
    • Ensure QA/QC and H&S requirements and procedures are identified and followed throughout a project's life cycle.
    • Technical work, review of reports and proposals and presentations.
    • Communicate with local, state and federal agencies.
    • Participate in schedule assessments and identify solutions to mitigate delays.
    • Participate in high priority tasks and deliverables.

    • History of relevant professional development.
    • Demonstrated high quality technical writing skills.
    • Experience in or a solid understanding of the consulting industry in a multidisciplinary environment.
    • Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to clients business needs.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Must have a good driving record and valid driver’s license.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Planning or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience.

    Typical office environment includes working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

    Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):

    Salary Range(s):

    • $58,400 - $84,700 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CA (SF Area includes SF, SJS & WLC)

    The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
