Ethics & Compliance Office Administrative Asst. coordinates the administrative work of the ethics and compliance function of the organization. Acts as a liaison with outside vendors to provide materials for the program including manuals and posters. Being an Ethics & Compliance Office Administrative Asst. receives helpline calls, faxes and emails from outside vendors, tracks issues and routes them to appropriate staff groups. Utilizes corporate software to input and track helpline call data. Additionally, Ethics & Compliance Office Administrative Asst. processes routine inquires and provides data in accordance with established policies and procedures. Codes and submits invoices for department charges, maintains tracking files, reconciles corporate credit card receipts and monthly statements for reimbursement, and prepares spreadsheets for charge backs to departmental cost statements. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Ethics & Compliance Office Administrative Asst. typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May be entry level if some experience in the skill.     Darling Ingredients is looking for an Office Administrative Assistant to join our team in Wadesboro, NC.

    Job Summary:

    This is a key role that is responsible for managing the daily operations of the front office answering telephones, redirecting calls, taking messages, greeting visitors, sending and receiving faxes and completing reports. The office administrative assistant is also responsible for processing payroll, assisting managers with record keeping, professional memo and letter writing, and other general office duties.

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to perform basic math functions
    • Excellent computer skills, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook etc.
    • Experience in Oracle is a plus.
    • Experience in Kronos
    • Respond to stressful situations and formulate a proper course of action
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Maintain proper record keeping, filing of all items, materials, and information.

    Essential functions:

    • Communication with the Office Manager at all times with information regarding the operations of the facility that may come to your attention and other duties as assigned.
    • Answer phone calls, direct calls to proper personnel, take messages where appropriate.
    • Assist management team with professional correspondence.
    • Send and receive faxes.
    • Assist management team on ensuring employees’ time and pay are correct on a daily basis and assist all personnel with their appropriate absence as it pertains to them.
    • Correspond, communicate, and maintain to and from other facilities, companies, business, agencies, etc. all that is required or needed to produce, sell, and deliver our products and assure that we maintain the highest standards of quality as expected.
    • Maintain proper record keeping.
    • Expected to perform other duties as assigned.

    Physical demands:

    • Climb stairs occasionally
    • Lift up to approximately 30 pounds
