Ethics & Compliance Office Administrative Asst. coordinates the administrative work of the ethics and compliance function of the organization. Acts as a liaison with outside vendors to provide materials for the program including manuals and posters. Being an Ethics & Compliance Office Administrative Asst. receives helpline calls, faxes and emails from outside vendors, tracks issues and routes them to appropriate staff groups. Utilizes corporate software to input and track helpline call data. Additionally, Ethics & Compliance Office Administrative Asst. processes routine inquires and provides data in accordance with established policies and procedures. Codes and submits invoices for department charges, maintains tracking files, reconciles corporate credit card receipts and monthly statements for reimbursement, and prepares spreadsheets for charge backs to departmental cost statements. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Summary: The Townsend Library at NMSU Alamogordo is seeking a Full-Time Library Assistant.
Classification Summary:
Under direct supervision, performs defined tasks and/or services comprising one or more components of a library operational unit. Provides technical support and assistance in the performance of routine library duties in one or more library specializations, such as circulation, reference, archives, technical services, and collection maintenance.
Classification Standard Duties:
Provides guidance and assistance to patrons regarding general and specific information about the library and library resources. With minimal supervision, performs and/or oversees routine tasks, utilizing automated database systems, to include materials check-in, circulation, searching, ordering of materials, and/or copy cataloging. Resolves routine operational problems and provides first-level troubleshooting of relevant library systems. Assists higher level staff and librarians with basic reference services; staffs public service desks, providing customer service and assistance. Carries out and communicates policies pertaining to unit services, operations, and activities. Assists with collection maintenance activities and projects as appropriate. May lead, guide, and train student employees, set work schedules, and ensure compliance with established procedures for a specific activity within a library unit. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provides customer assistance at the front desk and assists library patrons on library resources. Additional duties may include creation of purchase orders for supplies, etc., in collaboration with the Library Director and purchasing representative; maintenance of departmental purchasing files and process inter library loan transactions.
