Ethics & Compliance Office Administrative Asst. coordinates the administrative work of the ethics and compliance function of the organization. Acts as a liaison with outside vendors to provide materials for the program including manuals and posters. Being an Ethics & Compliance Office Administrative Asst. receives helpline calls, faxes and emails from outside vendors, tracks issues and routes them to appropriate staff groups. Utilizes corporate software to input and track helpline call data. Additionally, Ethics & Compliance Office Administrative Asst. processes routine inquires and provides data in accordance with established policies and procedures. Codes and submits invoices for department charges, maintains tracking files, reconciles corporate credit card receipts and monthly statements for reimbursement, and prepares spreadsheets for charge backs to departmental cost statements. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Ethics & Compliance Office Administrative Asst. typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May be entry level if some experience in the skill. Knowledge of: the principles and practices of court administration; modern office procedures, practices, and equipment; office management, computer technology and software skills; spelling, grammar and composition; math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage calculations.
Skills in: technology skills; and Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to: exercise judgment and discretion in establishing, applying, and interpreting policies and procedures; plan, organize, assign, and supervise work of subordinate employees, while personally handling multiple duties; establish and maintain effective working relationships with agency personnel, officials, and the public; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field and one (1) year of experience providing progressive responsible administrative/office management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. One year must include supervision.
