Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist supports and coordinates the activities of the organization's global ethics and compliance function. Assists with the delivery and maintenance of programs to assess and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks and establish high ethical standards of conduct for the organization. Being an Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist prepares materials that communicate the organization's ethical standards, policies, and regulations. Supports or delivers employee training programs that raise awareness about ethics-related topics such as Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Conflicts of Interest, and others. Additionally, Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist generates reports of compliance monitoring statistics, investigations, outcomes, and remediations of any non-compliant actions. May administer reporting systems or helplines for employees, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to disclose violations of the organization's ethical standards, violations of law, or policies without fear of retaliation. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Work hard, have fun, and make history with the Business Conduct & Ethics team, part of Amazon's Legal Department. We are looking for a smart and motivated individual to help manage Amazon's compliance program. This role impacts all Amazon employees and would be supporting multiple aspects of the program, including training, third party risk management, policy development, conflicts of interest, and more.

    The successful candidate will be highly data-driven and have an interest in the compliance space. The right person will be capable of managing multiple projects, and supporting different areas of the program with little guidance. They will react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround. Ideally, someone who thinks creatively and is capable of proactively solving problems.

    This person should be a strong communicator with great attention to detail. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company, is essential.



    Key job responsibilities
    - Supporting a company-wide learning management system;
    - Engaging with employees seeking advice and guidance;
    - Managing ticketing systems and various communications channels;
    - Reviewing due diligence reports and interacting with regional counsel;
    - Providing customer service and technical troubleshooting help for global employees; and
    - Developing project plans to keep key initiatives on track.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
    - 2 years of hands-on program or project management experience;
    - Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously;
    - Strong written and oral communication skills;
    - Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint;
    - Capable of successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
    - Excellent organizational skills;
    - Outstanding judgment and discretion with confidential matters.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Capable of working independently in ambiguous environments;
    Team player and consensus builder;
    Self-starter with strong bias for action and keen attention to detail

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
