Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist supports and coordinates the activities of the organization's global ethics and compliance function. Assists with the delivery and maintenance of programs to assess and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks and establish high ethical standards of conduct for the organization. Being an Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist prepares materials that communicate the organization's ethical standards, policies, and regulations. Supports or delivers employee training programs that raise awareness about ethics-related topics such as Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Conflicts of Interest, and others. Additionally, Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist generates reports of compliance monitoring statistics, investigations, outcomes, and remediations of any non-compliant actions. May administer reporting systems or helplines for employees, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to disclose violations of the organization's ethical standards, violations of law, or policies without fear of retaliation. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Ethics and Compliance Investigations Manager

  • This position is responsible for management of Henry Schein’s (Company) Speak Up program which involves the intake of reports of non-compliance via the Compliance Helpline and other channels; the initial assessment of reports in collaboration with other functional groups; the conduct of internal investigations stemming from reports; the tracking of reports and internal investigations; reporting on and analysis of reports and internal investigations; overseeing corrective and preventive actions; and other duties as assigned. The position reports to the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the relationship and contract with the Company’s external Compliance Helpline vendor and timely triage all reports received via the Compliance Helpline Conduct all phases of internal investigations related to alleged violations of the Company's Worldwide Business Standards, and other compliance policies and procedures. Ensure a thorough and comprehensive investigation of the alleged compliance violation is performed, including the collection of documentation and/or evidence, data analyses and interviews. Prepare timely and concise final internal investigation reports. Maintain detailed internal investigation reports and metrics. Ensure all Helpline and non-Helpline reports are tracked in a case management tool and that all data fields are complete and accurate. Collaborate with Human Resources and Legal to ensure that appropriate disciplinary and corrective actions are initiated and completed. Foster strong work relationships and collaboration with internal business partners and key investigative partners (Legal, HR, Safety & Security, Information Technology) Evaluate internal investigation cases for patterns and trends to identify failures in policies, procedures and/or internal controls. Prepare policy and process related recommendations based on root cause analysis on key trends. Prepare & present reports, charts, trend analyses for various committee meetings on a frequent basis. Perform other related duties as assigned. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Strong understanding of healthcare compliance programs Investigative skills Life sciences/Healthcare Industry experience a plus GENERAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Excellent understanding of industry practices Strong proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures Excellent planning/organizational skills and techniques Independent decision making, analysis and problem solving skills. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Strong presentation and public speaking skills Excellent interpersonal skills Adept at conflict resolution and able to deliver difficult messages. Ability to build partnerships at all levels within the company. Good negotiating skills Resolve complex issues in effective ways. Project management, consultative skills and ability to manage a budget. Specialist in multiple technical and/or business skills Ability to cultivate and develop lasting internal and external customer relations. WORK EXPERIENCE: Typically 8 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience. PREFERRED EDUCATION: Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent preferred. May hold two or more industry certifications. TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required. The posted range for this position is $95,990-$167,983 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a [bonus/incentive] not reflected in the posted range.
