Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team . The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment. The Estimator will work closely with Project, Operations and Construction managers as well as insurance companies to ensure that all estimates are accurate and complete.

Responsibilities:

• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to develop the scope of work and required materials and equipment for customer projects.
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
• Contacts vendors & suppliers to obtain costs for job materials.
• Collaborate with project managers to set project milestones and expectations.
• Prepare and submit bids and proposals
• Updates estimates as needed per job change order and customer request. 
• Ensure that all estimates comply with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Proven experience, minimum of three years as an Estimator, in the residential and/or commercial construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment in older and current building sites and material
• Experience working with homeowners, insurance adjusters, agents and building officials
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications including blueprints
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software such as Xactimate
• Must pass a background check and drug test
