Estimator - Cost develops cost estimates for projects based on work scope, specifications, and contract proposals using applicable estimating methodologies and tools. Analyzes project requirements, plans, and specifications to identify labor, material, equipment, and service requirements. Being a Estimator - Cost uses benchmark data, trends, prior estimates, and historical pricing schedules to generate detailed cost estimates that consist of itemized lists of expenses, labor hours, material quantities, and potential cost variations. Depending on the complexity and type of project, may use different estimating methods, mathematical models, or specialized estimating software tools to generate estimates. Additionally, Estimator - Cost provides guidance and training on estimating best practices. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members.     Task Requirements

    • Establish and manage numerous diverse project control deliverables
    • Provide EVMS direction, assist with project cost, schedule, scope, and subcontract matrices, while adhering to quality, environmental, and safety objectives.
    • Establish and control project costs, schedule, and technical baselines and provide effective management of EVMS and other project control tools.
    • Ensure all cost data, accruals, and forecast are accurate and reliable
    • Ensure all cost reporting are in compliant with EVMS reports and reporting

    Qualification Criteria

    • DOE Experience
    • Nice-to-have demonstrated Cobra/Cost management experience
    • Preferred Certification (PMI, AACEI)
    • An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. Candidate(s) must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance.

    Job Types: Full-time, Contract

    Pay: Up to $163,878.79 per year
