Implements a workflow and system for scheduling and processing estimate requests and communicating with stakeholders. In this MDOT Estimating Specialist role, you take charge by analyzing blueprints and other documents in order to accurately compile bids that include estimating costs, material, labor, and time frame.
Additionally, you establish pricing and conduct comparison activities. Being an active team member, you work hand-in-hand with our project management team to ensure estimates are maintained throughout the scope of the project.
As needed, you consult with vendors and internal project teams to best facilitate and resolve any issues, and you work hard to maintain positive working relationships to create opportunities to effectively collaborate with subcontractors and others that do business with you.
