Being an Estimating Manager incorporates benchmark data, trends, and historical pricing to generate detailed cost estimates that consist of itemized lists of expenses, labor hours, material quantities, and potential cost variations. Implements a workflow and system for scheduling and processing estimate requests and communicating with stakeholders. Quarters Hardware, Inc. is seeking a full-time estimating assistant to join our sales team! We are looking for someone to assist in producing project estimates by generating quantity takeoffs through review of plans and specifications.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Review plans & specifications from commercial construction general contractors (commercial doors, frames and hardware) (Division 8).
· Produce quantity takeoff of a complete scope of work, identifying exclusions.
· Communicate via email and phone with manufacturers for pricing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Previous construction experience is preferred
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office—Excel, Word, Outlook
· Must be deadline, goal and detail-oriented
· Good organization skills, with ability to prioritize and multitask
· Positive and professional demeanor
