Who You Are
We are currently seeking recent or upcoming construction management landscape architecture graduates to join our team as a Commercial Landscape Estimating Assistant! You will gain valuable experience and knowledge about the landscape Design Build process from concept to completion. Our talented designers and estimators are graduates of the OSU Landscape Architecture program and have many years of experience with residential, commercial, and municipal projects. Job Description
Assist the Commercial Estimating department in all aspects of the bid process, estimation & project construction for commercial landscape projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Project Estimation: Complete takeoffs for site plans in AutoCAD or Excel programs, quantify work areas and materials, work with subcontractors and suppliers to source costs, create detailed project proposals.
• Administrative Tasks: Send purchase orders and subcontractor requisitions, order equipment, materials, and supplies and support estimators with any additional tasks required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of Landscape Architecture or Construction Management or other related programs.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel spreadsheets.
• Excellent math and problem solving skills, ability to multitask, highly organized.
• Ability to read and comprehend blue prints and landscape drawings/plans.
• Self-motivated, attention to detail, work well in a team environment to complete projects.
• Effective communication skills – verbal and written to share complex ideas with the team.
• Previous estimating and construction experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
