Position Summary: Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is seeking a full-time Director of Laboratory.  If you are looking for an opportunity to lead a team of licensed Medical Technologists, and phlebotomists you will want to check out this opportunity.

The Director is responsible for the administration of the technical and scientific operation for microbiological, serological, immunohematological (blood banking), cytological, histological, chemical, hematological, biophysical, toxicological, or other methods of examination of tissues, secretions, or excretions of the human body.

The successful incumbent will have the ability to assess a variety of complex situation and determine the most effective means to resolve situations.  Leadership skills in decision making, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal relations are involved in the daily contracts of working with department directors, physicians, staff, visitors, and vendors.  Is responsible to set the climate for cooperation between co-workers and shifts for a smooth-running operation.  Requires judgment/action that could impact the patient's outcome.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Master’s degree in preferred, Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: 3-5 years of previous leadership experience is required.

License: NV General Supervisors License, Medical Technologist License

Certification: American Heart Association, BLS.
