Estate Planning Director jobs in the United States

Estate Planning Director directs all aspects of the estate planning function including sales, staffing, and supervision. Participates in training and estate planning workshops. Being an Estate Planning Director ensures that the agency stays abreast of regulatory guidelines and new trends in the field. Researches and advises on tax, technical, and legal questions. Additionally, Estate Planning Director introduces new life products to the field and contributes to design of related software and tools. May be a speaker at insurance conferences or meetings. Requires a bachelor's degree of business, marketing, or mathematics. Typically reports to top management. May require Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). The Estate Planning Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Estate Planning Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Estate Planning Paralegal

  • Job duties:

    • Assist attorneys in drafting estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
    • Facilitate trust funding by assisting with the transfer of assets into trusts, updating beneficiary designations, and coordinating with financial institutions.
    • Conduct legal research on estate planning laws and regulations.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and databases.
    • Communicate with clients and schedule estate planning meetings.
    • Prepare and organize client documents in preparation for meetings.
    • Monitor case progress, deadlines, and important time frames.
    • Collaborate with attorneys and other paralegals to ensure efficient workflow and client satisfaction.

    • You maintain a steady demeanor and clear thinking when managing tight deadlines, complex legal matters, or emotionally charged client interactions

    This is a full-time job and you must be able to work for 40 hours per week. This is an in-office position in our Winston-Salem or Durham office with the opportunity for remote work.
