Additionally, Escrow Officer may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Escrow Officer supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Escrow Officer typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • Knight Barry Title is seeking a Part-Time Escrow Assistant to join our team in De Pere, WI! As an Escrow Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our closers and construction team, and ensuring smooth and efficient real estate transactions. If you have a strong background in loan processing, underwriting, and mortgage servicing, along with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, we want to hear from you!

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Receives and screens telephone callers or visitors. Gives information to callers; assists them in determining the proper person/department to contact; takes messages as appropriate. Assists visitors as necessary.
    • Performs routine but varied clerical duties which may include: sorting and distributing mail, preparing outgoing/overnight mail, typing, scanning, courier documents, payoff checks, deposits, any other deliveries, ordering supplies, etc.
    • Completes E-Recordings and transfer returns and supports the closing department with any post-closing items needed.
    • Receives and prints draws, work with the local inspector to order inspections, and upload the photos to a Google Document,
    • Assists with entering orders and ensuring proper notes are placed in the orders.
    • Responsible for maintaining new purchase/refi orders and completing accurate data.
    • Handles daily deposits and weekly checks; couriers checks, documents, payoffs, etc. to support the closing department.
    • Maintains accurate records and files throughout the escrow process.
    • Provides exceptional customer service to clients and addresses any inquiries or concerns.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Escrow Assistant or similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of loan processing, underwriting, and mortgage servicing.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSING

    • High school graduation/equivalent required with one year administrative experience preferred.
