Basic Purpose:
Under the direction of the Director of Agronomy, the Equipment Manager provides leadership, direction and technical knowledge to efficiently perform all preventative and corrective service relating to gasoline-and diesel-powered vehicles, mowing equipment, tractors, carts and all other equipment used to maintain or provide service. The Equipment Manager is also responsible for the organization and cleanliness of the service area and maintenance building, organization of and implementation of a preventative maintenance program while placing safety procedures as a top priority.
Essential Functions:
Knowledge & Skills:
Education: High School Education or equivalent experience
Experience: Minimum three (3) years as Head Equipment Manager at a comparable golf course facility.

Skills & Abilities:
Reading and writing skills required. Ability to operate and implement basic computer functions including but not limited to basic Microsoft Word and Excel functions, email and data entry.
Ability to move heavy objects, work in a variety of weather conditions while repairing equipment, understand and follow oral and written directions, maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees and the public, and be able to use common mechanical tools. Posses a working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession.
