Equipment Engineering Manager manages equipment engineering activities within an organization. Implements and maintains policies and procedures for designing, developing and implementing equipment. Perform mechanical inspection on Aerospace and commercial machined parts inspection using a wide variety of hand tools, (Micrometers, Calipers, Thread Gages, Height Gages etc.) Optical comparator and CMM. Ability to read blueprints and determine acceptability to established procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with Machinists, Operators & Engineering to inspect manufactured and received product
Perform First Piece, In Process, Incoming inspection & Final Inspection as required by work instructions and Purchase Order requirements
Have familiarity with CMM operation, preferably PCDMIS Software a plus
Create First Articles to AS9102 Format
Perform incoming inspection on all raw material and review material certifications to specification requirements.
Have familiarity with ISO9001 / AS9100 preferred
Understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Control, monitor and maintain all quality records
Initiate Discrepancy Reports for non-confirming material
Be well organized with good written and verbal communications skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (work, Excel etc.)
Experience working in aerospace/defense industry a plus
