Equipment Engineering Director directs equipment engineering activities within an organization. Plans and develops policies and procedures for designing, developing and implementing equipment. Being an Equipment Engineering Director ensures all equipment engineering projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies and objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Equipment Engineering Director typically reports to top engineering management. The Equipment Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Equipment Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Job Description: RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform incoming inspection and periodic inspection on both new and current medical equipment or devices and
- Perform quality assurance check to assure that equipment conforms to manufacturer literature for components, parts, and performance.
- Install, Calibrate and Test medical equipment or devices in accordance with manufacturer’s literature, certification to perform installation actions, and/or biomedical engineering department authorization to perform installation.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks
- Perform troubleshooting of equipment or device malfunction to determine source or cause of defect or malfunction.
- Perform scheduled and/or unscheduled maintenance.
- QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills and Experience
- A Two-year associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training.
- Demonstrated competency to perform operational verification procedures, planned maintenance, and repair service on various types of medical equipment.
- Understanding of regulatory agencies’ requirements, industry regulatory requirements and International Standard Organization standards.
- Familiarity with the setup and application of test equipment.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical literature, schematics, and drawings.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
